KO-Ki booster

The IBISA certified platform for exploration of the functions of the immune system of mice (KO-KI Booster) is dedicated to the development of knock-out or knock-in mice with intentional changes in their genome having particular relevance to Immunology and Infectious Diseases. This platform is currently housed in the Center of Immunology of Marseille-Luminy.

A special feature of the platform comes from the fact that it operates with a specific pathogen free (SPF) status, not only to ensure services in conditions of perfect health, but also the development and study of mice with complete or partial defects of the immune system. In addition, to neutralize the variations due to modifier genes, most of our models are derived from mouse embryonal stem (ES) cell lines of C57BL/6 origin.
