Magali IRLA, laureate of the National Academy of Medicine for the 2019 Prize

Magali IRLA, PhD, at the CIML has been nominated as a laureate of the National Academy of Medicine for the 2019 Prize of the Société des Eaux Minérales d'Evian-les-Bains which aims to encourage scientific research. This prize is awarded for her work entitled: "At the heart of the establishment of immune tolerance: regulation of the migration of antigen-presenting cells in the thymus". The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019.

Michel PIERRES, a world-renowned physician and immunologist, died on June 14, 2019

 

His work on the characterization of molecules associated with T lymphocyte activation using monoclonal antibodies helped to position the Centre d’Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML) on the map of global immunology during the 1980s to 2000s..
